Description
More creative cask finishing wizardry from the gang at the Lakes Distillery! This expression of The One blended whisky was treated to a finish in Colheita Port casks. Colheita Port is made using the grapes from a single harvest, and notes of delicate fruits and warming spices certainly shine here.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sweet notes of apricot pastries and fruit crumble, with sprinkles of ginger and distant wood smoke.
Palate
Soft peaches, ripe plums, and grilled stone fruits lead to dollops of vanilla cream and a touch of clove.
Finish
Cinnamon and aromatic spices bring a warming finish, while the soft fruits and buttery vanilla stick around for balance.
