The Lakes Whiskymaker's Reserve series concludes (a real shame it's ending) with another sherry-tastic release that proves English whisky can compete with the best. For No.7, it's a blend of oloroso, PX, and red wine casks, comprising Spanish and American oak, that was bottled at 52% ABV non-chill filtered, with natural colour.
Creamy hazelnut, clove, raspberry, stewed plums, chocolate-coated raisins, salted caramel and sandalwood.
Toffee popcorn, apricot jam, almond friands, honeyed fruits, graham crackers, red berries, orange peel, and woody spice.
Orchard fruit and dark chocolate lingers.
