The Lakes Distillery has added to its Whiskymaker's Editions series with the delightful Infinity, a whisky matured in a combination of oloroso, palo cortado, fino, and manzanilla sherry casks. This is a distillery that loves a good cask combination and we love seeing how these four different sherry profiles blend together.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sea salt dark chocolate, ginger snaps, and caramel with toasted spices and polished oak.
Palate
Black Forest gâteau is joined by oily nuts, butterscotch, thick bitter marmalade, and black pepper.
Finish
A drying, rich finish.
