Steel Bonnets from The Lakes Distillery is an intriguing blended malt, made with whiskies from both Scotland and England! At the core is a hearty helping of The Lakes very own single malt whisky, supported by single malts from undisclosed distilleries. Enjoyably smoky, with balancing notes of dried fruit and fresh vanilla.
The whisky has creamy, slightly nutty & full bodied flavour. Notes of vanilla, ginger, nutmeg, and hints dried fruit. All held together with a sweet comforting layer of wood smoke.

Can't wait to try some of the new releases from Lakes Distillery - a cracking dram this!
A lovely dram, and the bottle is stunning. Gave it for a gift and my father in law loved it!
Impressive. After reading a few negative reviews and looking at the inflated price I wasn’t looking forward to drinking this dram. All I can say is that I’m impressed. Much better then I originally thought it was going to be. Very drinkable and well balanced. One of the best blended whiskys outside of Japan.
This is a light fruit/sweet and honey profile whisky, being a little rough around the edges. I can't understand the high price tag, for what it is ?
I had this in a world whisky advent calendar 2018, I would definitely buy a full bottle, it has a smokey flavour and slight sweet taste, very enjoyable!
