Originally released as a Travel Retail exclusive, this single malt joins the Cask Master's Collection from Glenlivet. Matured for 14 years in a combo of American and European oak, it's layered with tangy fruit sweetness, creamy malt, and oaken vanilla.
I wasn’t expecting much, to be honest. I’ve tried Glenlivet 12, Founder’s Reserve, and another travel retail edition before, and none of them really impressed me. But this 14 Year Old Cask Master’s Collection completely changed my mind. It’s incredibly easy to drink, sweet and smooth, with a lovely oily texture and a longer-than-average finish. More than anything, it brought me back to the first time I tried Jura Turas-Mara about seven years ago. They’re not similar in taste at all, but I got that same feeling of surprise and excitement — that rare “wow” moment when a whisky is simply so much better than you expected. It honestly felt like going back in time for a moment. I got it in Bulgaria for €68 on sale, and I’m absolutely delighted with it. It’s a shame it’s mainly available in Duty Free. I would definitely buy another bottle. Highly recommended.
