The Glasgow Distillery Company has gone and distilled its whisky not once, not twice, but thrice! This is its Triple Distilled single malt Scotch whisky, which has been fully matured in virgin oak casks, and it gets bottled up at 46% ABV without any chill-filtration or additional colouring. It's got that traditional triple-distilled lightness to it, but packs plenty of complexity in there too.
Teacakes, candied peels, a few whiffs of well-roasted coffee and flaky pastry.
Fresh orchard fruit arrives first - think green pear and apricot. Soft malt, sugary coffee and subtle spicy flashes of caraway.
Honey on brioche and cut grass on the finish.

A light triple distilled whisky but with a massive woody influence - its surprising and delicious!
Very smooth and great wordiness, virgin wood is an unconventional approach for a triple distilled whisky but we enjoyed our purchase and shall be making another.
of all the GDC offerings, I had the highest hopes for their triple distilled. However, the spirit is totally dominated by the Virgin Oak casks. Maybe this is on purpose to hide flaws in the spirit?
Once again a relatively new distillery manages to surpass the cliché of releasing whisky that calls for reactions such as ‘too little too early’ (and at times a combo with ‘overly priced’) … Though I have no idea about the age of it this can rightfully make a stand amongst others in the home bar and if the profile fits you may even become an easy sipping go to dram.
