The English Distillery opened back in 2005, making it England's first registered whisky distillery for over a century when founder James Nelstop fired up the stills. This single malt is the distillery's oldest release to date, matured for 15 years between 2007 and 2022 in a custom-built ex-oloroso sherry cask. A splendid milestone, marked by a spectacular whisky!
This wonderfully dark and oily 15-year-old single malt whisky gives a fantastic aroma of dates raisins and sultanas; in the mouth there are waves of cherries, chocolate, and figs with a hint of ginger and added fruits when a splash of water is added.

Definitely a big step up from their normal casks. The extra aging gives it a smoother and deeper flavour. If you like The English whiskey, this is worth the extra money.
