16-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from the Glen Deveron range, which is the name that Macduff uses for its official bottlings. This was originally released for the Travel Retail market.
Orchard fruits arrive first on the nose, followed by robust notes of golden barley.
More chewy cereal notes and green apple, soon joined by an elegant, subtle hint of peat smoke.
Lasting oak-y, peaty warm elements.

I bought this as a gift for my brother in law at the duty free in Heathrow in 2016. He just opened it when I was there and WOW. This is a wonderful smooth whiskey with an amazing finish.
I know it sounds crazy, and yes, I've had many and many a malt in my time, but there's just very little flavor in this bottle. Starts a bit watery... then nothing happens. Smooth as hell, no doubt. I know people are saying it's harsh, but I think the problem is that with no other tastes, you inevitably alcohol itself, which just isn't a nice flavor.
Not the worst whisky ive tried but probably the worst 16 year one, the casks used for this must have been refilled too many times, same with the 20 y old. Very little oak influence..
A good price point for a very good valued single malt well aged and I was very happy with my first glass. This was a recommended by the sales person at duty free, so I was initially a little dubious. It is smooth and a new favourite. Can’t wait for my next flight to buy a few more as this bottle won’t last for long.
