The Busker Irish Whiskey comes to us via the Royal Oak Distillery in Co. Carlow, Ireland. It's crafted using a blend of three different styles of whiskey – namely single grain, single malt, and Ireland's unique single pot still whiskey. The number three pops up again when it comes to casks, as the whiskeys have been matured and finished in bourbon, Marsala wine, and sherry casks. Three types of cask. The label calls it "Triple Smooth", too. Maybe De La Soul was right about three being the magic number... Anyway, this is tasty expression from the Royal Oak folks, perfect for sipping neat, enjoying with ginger ale, using in a whiskey cocktail, and more.
Caramel, honeycomb, a zesty hint of tropical fruit.
Enjoyably malty, with touches of dark chocolate popping up underneath juicy apricot and mango.
Lingering hints of crumbly fudge and nutty barley.
The whiskey is so smooth. After the sip u will get the caramel note. It's one of the best blended whiskey I ever had. Loved it
I've never got to the point where I can't drink a bottle of whisky, but just found this unpleasant and very unlike any other Irish Whisky, even at cheaper end.
It's better than Jameson by a long way
On sale at Sainsbury's £20 per bottle. Not unpleasant, slightly creamy mouth feel but left me feeling it was bland somehow. Probably not unpleasant mixed but I'll not rush back to it
£6.54 - £84.90
