13 year old single malt from an undisclosed distillery on the Isle of Islay, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. The label seems familiar, mind... The LivingRoom Whisky chaps, the car with the weird doors, Bessie Williamson... Is it from a different timeline? Another universe?!

Powerful smoke balanced by hints of old leather and tropical fruit punch.
BBQ pineapple and leafy mint, with layers of thyme honey bringing a herbaceous sweetness in to the mix.
Continued peat smoke heat and a whiff of tobacco.
I use Laphroaig 10 year old as my benchmark for Islay malts. All the expected flavours but quite subtle. Nice dram but light on flavour and didn't stand out enough to warrant its price.
What can I say, I love Islay style whisky in just about any strength, format or origin. Speaking of origin, though undisclosed this ‘feels’ like Laphroaig to me though. In any case, a dram for Islay adepts!
