That Boutique-y Whisky Company has created another delicious blended malt - the fifth one in the series! This particular edition features a selection of pie-eating characters that might be familiar to you if you've spent a lot of time looking at Boutique-y labels. If you haven't, then you'll just see a giant, a dinosaur, a shark and some legs, and you'll be really confused.
Batch 1 is a release of 449 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
A very malty nose begins with Seville orange marmalade and buttered burnt toast. There’s some vanilla, juicy toasted barley and a touch of donuts underneath. Charred oak and red chilli add warmth and savoury spice throughout.
Nutmeg and clove add a drying spice which adds depth to butterscotch and hazelnuts. There’s a subtle tropical fruit note underneath.
Medium length, with touches of burnt oak.
The fifth incarnation of Boutique-y Blended Malt is as triumphant as the previous four. Seriously lovely stuff.
