What's that? It's a Boutique-y core range!
Over ten years of independent bottling, That Boutique-y Whisky Company never ceases to impress with its single-cask, small-batch, limited-edition whiskies, as well as some serious skills when it comes to blending. This blended grain whisky makes a cracking addition to the indie bottler's core range, matured for a whopping 30 years, fill your boots!
And no need to check your eyesight, this new range are all in 70cl bottles! You're welcome, David Stirk.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels (in this case, it's a gradually aging Boutique-y deer on each!)
Cinder toffee, buttery shortbread, syrupy flapjack, and red berry sweetness, with citrus oil, polished oak, and orchard blossom in tow.
Vanilla tablet and chocolate chip cookies lead the way, backed by hints of marmalade, sultanas, and honeyed oats.
A crackle of pepper wraps things up, with aromatic oak and toasted, woody spice.
The 1st blended grain I have tried, comparing to the single grains Strathclyde, North british the flavours are deeper. Still the wonderful shortbread, honey, thick texture as the 2 above, but more. I taste coffee notes identical to North British 18. Big flavour, long finish. Better on 3rd sip + ...
Smooth, thick and full of flavours. A range of sweet, fruit and grains, with a lovely long finish with a hint of spices. Recommend without hesitation.
30 years old, delicate, deep, and delicious grain whisky. Great liquid. Great value. And finally boutique-y is in a 70cl bottle!
I’ve tasted (and tasted again) this whisky at Soho Whisky Club and just bought myself a bottle. It’s incredible whisky and incredible value. Highly recommend.
