A cracking single barrel release from Templeton, aged for a full decade in new American oak casks that have been heavily charred for maximum impact. Bottled at a robust 52% ABV (that’s 104 proof for our American pals), this is a bold and beautifully balanced rye that wears its age and spice with pride. An ultra-limited expression made for serious rye fans and celebratory pours.
Chocolate shavings and vanilla cream leap out first, followed by buttery toasted oak. Hints of green apple brightness and soft apricot round it out.
