Sommelier Selection - Douro Old Vines Casks Whiskey

Teeling’s classic Small Batch blend of malt and grain contains whiskey aged in rum casks, but for the Sommelier Selection that's replaced with wine casks from around the world, hence the name. For this edition, red wine barrels from the Portuguese Douro Valley were used, specifically, wine pressed from the harvest of vines that were over 25 years old. Expect some lovely dark fruit and spicy notes in a whiskey bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered.
