The flagship expression from Dublin's Teeling, the Small Batch Irish whiskey is made with a blend of malt and grain whiskeys, initially aged in ex-Bourbon barrels. Following that, the Teeling folks moved the whiskey over to casks that had previously held Central American rum! In these casks, the whiskey had an extra rest for up to 12 months, before being bottled at 46% ABV without any chill-filtration. Wonderfully full-flavoured, with plenty of fresh fruit, creamy vanilla and lively spice notes to enjoy!
Cut grass and orange blossom. Allspice, hints of vanilla, apple pie and blackberries.
Spiced, rich palate with rose petal jelly and lemon curd. Creamy vanilla, hints of dried herbs and cinnamon.
Floral, herbal finish. Caramel on the tail.
A deliciously creamy, spicy and rich Irish blend.

yes, Very pleasant, and Quite a sweet finish, I am a fan of Laphroaig and any a smokey/peaty whisky, but I do enjoy any rich whisky/ey... I wouldn't go so far as to say it is complex, but it is not at all weak, very well rounded. Not a 5 because there are many whiskies out there, and that extra star is reserved for the ones that really hit the high marks. Not to be underestimated, definitely fetching it again, and looking forward to try others in their range. Enjoy.
Great whiskey, l definitely recommend it, better than some of the other whiskeys in it's price range. Also an enjoyable after taste. Nb: After reading some of the reviews, seems like bourbon drinkers don't enjoy it so if you are one, steer clear hahaha...
Really , really sweet & syrupy, ok for a shot but that's it . I went by the reviews and can't see why its rated so high . I normally drink bourbon perhaps that's why, but definitely should be served with a cocktail umbrella & a glazed cherry ...
I had Teeling for the first time in Dublin a few years back and loved it, so when I found somewhere I could buy it I immediately ordered some! It's some of the best I've had and will definitely order more, the only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is like one of the reviews before me have had problems with the cork and cap, it became quite difficult to open and as a result I snapped the cork in the neck which is a bit more difficult to remove. That's the only thing that can be improved on.
My Husband is a bourbon drinker and Collector... I also appreciate a good bourbon, but my go-to is Irish Whiskey...after reading the reviews he purchased the Teeling Small Batch for me to try... great expectations....harsh alcohol is the first thing I noticed..didn't like it at all... thought I'd give it a try again last night, poured a sip and thought .. tastes like Tequila...when my hubby came home, I poured a bit for him and gave it to him blind and asked "Identify what type of liquor this is"... his guess was Tequila...so it's not just me...Maybe I'll make margaritas...
