The eagerly anticipated Teeling Single Malt Irish Whiskey, made with 100% malt whiskeys. A selection of five wine-cask-finished-whiskeys were used for this release, including Sherry, Port, Madeira, White Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon. Exciting, delicious stuff from the Teeling chaps in Dublin.
Intense white grape juiciness on the nose, joined by fresh malt and Rolos, developing into white chocolate the longer it's in the glass.
An elegant expression, this. Well placed fruit, backed up with cinnamon and white pepper. A touch of dried flower petals along the way. Strawberries?
Definitely strawberries, with fresh double cream too! Ace.
Beautiful notes of stone fruits with soft nectarines and peaches. Soft and creamy mouthfeel with lovely buttery toffee and mellow spice. Moreish! Will be back for more.
Another impressive offering from Teeling & look forward to the whisky from its new Dublin home when it is ready.This is a cross between The best offerings of Bushmills & redbreast with its juicy black fruit and aromatic spice & chewy yet mellow oak.You can really taste the wine cask elements here with notes of fig rolls,cherry liquorice sticks & buttery old fashioned toffee.A dram of this was not enough!
