Irish single grain whiskey from Teeling! There are only an elite few Irish single grain whiskies out there at the moment, but Teeling went ahead and made theirs unique by maturing it in Californian Cabernet Sauvignon casks. Deliciously sweet with a good deal of spice and fruit hide within the Teeling Single Grain.
Honeyed apple flesh and red grape, sweet and slightly floral with fragrant vanilla and spice, evaporated milk and brown sugar.
There's treacle on the palate, but it's light and buttery with dried cranberry developing.
Into golden syrup tart and sweet egg custard now with spicy cereal.
This is a thoroughly enjoyable grain whiskey, sweet and fairly light but full of flavour.

The smoothness and taste are absolutely faultless! With a little bit more character on the nose it would've been a 5. Sampled this with my best mate, who's from Cork, and he was well impressed. Looking forward to trying Teeling's other offerings in this resurgence of Irish Whiskey!
Surprisingly smooth whiskey! A great find -- I find it even more satisfying than the single-malt!
95% of corn in mashbill yet it desnt taste like bourbon at all. I did tasting today side by side with Small Batch and Single Malt amd to me this one is the best out of Trinity series. Very smooth and buttery. Great neat with small drop of water and it is bottled at 46% and NCF. Mega!
Amazing whiskey. I think it is really interesting and refreshing change from Single Malt trend. Well balanced and inviting. Creamy/buttery on the pallet. 46% ABV as well. In my humble opinion the best Irish whiskey in this price range.
