Teeling's Revival series comes to its conclusion with Volume V, which is a 12 year old single malt Irish whiskey initially in ex-Bourbon barrels. Following that maturation, the whiskey was moved over to Cognac and brandy barrels for a finishing period, then bottled at 46% ABV. A release of 15,000 bottles.
Buttery biscuits, green apple, cinnamon rolls, quince, hay.
White grape, Jamaican Ginger Cake, soft tropical fruit, diced almond, a touch of mango chutney.
Clementine, nutmeg and vanilla tannins.
Huge Teeling fan and lucky to try this at whiskey live in Dublin and very nice. Hard to choose between vol 4 and 5
