The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. has a talent for bottling up some fabulous single cask whiskies with interesting wood influences for The Cooper's Choice – this right here is no exception. Distilled at Teaninich in 2010, this whisky spent its time maturing in an American oak cask, followed by some extra time in a Beaumes de Venise sweet wine cask, not something we see every day! Bottled at 11 years old, there was an outturn of 300 bottles drawn from this cask.
Sweet zesty citrus and a hint of floral coconut combined with honeyed melon.
Malty with layers of boozy fermented fruit and sweeter, tropical notes, zesty with vinous, syrupy sweet undertones and nutty spice.
Toffee and candied orange, oily barley, lingering dried fruit sweetness.
