    Teacher's Highland Cream

A very famous blended whisky, a rather good blend too. Jim Murray awarded Teacher's Highland Cream 90 points in his Whisky Bible.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Fruity, malty aromas. Just a hint of peat smoke with a good dollop of gooey toffee.

    Palate

Soft smoke, barley malt and manuka honey. Hints of Malt-driven palate with soft spices.

    Finish

Malt and smoke on the finish. Classic.

Exceptional value; Wonderfully delicious on the palate and nose.

Just wonderfully delicious on the palate and nose. This is my first bottle and many more are sure to follow. I honestly made the purchase based on the description on the bottle and that it only cost $15 US. I love to find exceptional values in spirits and Teachers Highland Cream is the epitome of value in Scotch. The tasting notes as described by the Masters of Malt, to my palate, are spot on. I highly recommend Scotch lovers give it try.

    Buy some now!

It’s lovely. A friend Looking for a good inexpensive scotch introduced it to me. I’m not lying when I say I prefer it to Johnny Walker Black which is perhaps 6 times as pricey. Peaty and smooth and a bargain to boot. Try it !!

A touch of smoke and the true taste of Whisky.

My favourite blended whisky. I'm born and bred in Scotland and know what's good whisky and what's good marketing. Teachers was always found in my Dad's drinks cabinet and it's what I was weaned on. I've drunk many many (too many) single malts over the past 35 years of legal drinking, and although there are some great ones, many are grossly over priced and over marketed as being something special. I like a bit of smoke with my oak and vanilla, so find many Speyside malts a bit bland, and all the sherry cask ones too sweet. Some Highland malts have a whiff of smoke and the first time I tried Ardmore I really liked it, not realising until later that it is the primary malt in teachers. Yes, I've been down the peat/smoke/iodine route to Islay and love them all. Having received a 1976 Ardbeg single cask for a birthday, I know what a £1000 bottle of Whisky tastes like. I still love the intense smoke and peat, but not every day, so teachers gives me just what I need. Whisky is possibly the most subjective of drinks, but when people say that blends like Teachers are nasty, I don't think they realise that to most Scots, blends like Teachers and Famous Grouse ARE what real whisky is, whilst the single malts are sold to the English, french, India and the US.

Deliciously drinkable and easy on the wallet!

Delicious...and it won’t break the bank! A great whisky for every day! I prefer it over JW black.
