A very famous blended whisky, a rather good blend too. Jim Murray awarded Teacher's Highland Cream 90 points in his Whisky Bible.
Fruity, malty aromas. Just a hint of peat smoke with a good dollop of gooey toffee.
Soft smoke, barley malt and manuka honey. Hints of Malt-driven palate with soft spices.
Malt and smoke on the finish. Classic.

I think it's destroyed now. Could be my palate that's changed, but this year in a few months it seems to have gone from, 'big drop in quality', to unrecognisably bland, thin and weak. Used to be rich, creamy and consistent; great value when ASDA would sell it for £12. My theory is the price of peat smoke is causing once great blends to cut corners to stay cheaper. I'm done with Teachers. I don't think it is easy to find a rewarding blend for under £20 any-more. Probably teachers would cost £22.00 today, if it had upped the price instead of dropping the quality. From the limited range I can get hold of where I live- The Black Grouse is the best deal, when the supermarkets drop the price from £20 to £15. Grouse is a brand to watch now- I think they're savvy to holes in the market left by a quality crisis among other brands..
Bought two bottles about 5 years apart assuming the blend must have improved by now. Tastes like TCP. Never again.
I buy this Teachers Blend often for its value and great taste [Peat,Smoke and malt].Teachers has a very high malt content for a blend. It can change taste sometimes from bottle to bottle but I stick with it because it has never been bad. This is a famous old blend that has stood the test of time and I will always buy it for its great taste and superb value.
What has gone wrong in the process of making this. The flavour that predominates is that bin fire taste not nice at all.
I tried a large Highland Cream with a dash of chilled water. The nose of this blend takes you straight to the highland lochs of Scotland. There is a sweet peaty smell and as you close your eyes you are there. On tasting, there is an explosion of peat followed immediately by the distinctive bite of whisky that fills your mouth and then the sweet flavours of honey and straw follow. This is a great blend recipe that has stood the test of time.
