A very famous blended whisky, a rather good blend too. Jim Murray awarded Teacher's Highland Cream 90 points in his Whisky Bible.
Fruity, malty aromas. Just a hint of peat smoke with a good dollop of gooey toffee.
Soft smoke, barley malt and manuka honey. Hints of Malt-driven palate with soft spices.
Malt and smoke on the finish. Classic.

I have been drinking Teacher's for years. This new version is nothing like the old version. No peat smell or taste whatsoever. Tastes cheap and horrible.
I was a huge fan of Teacher's until trying a bottle of the new label version shown on this site. The peat smoke from either the Ardmore malt or ex-Laphroaig barrels is now non-existent. The smell is a cheap spirity nose not unlike McAllister or elements of Johnny Red. The taste is a cheap artificial toffee caramel type taste and the colour is darker from all the added colourant compared to the old label version. This new label is a real and unfortunate step backwards.
As a novice I'd struggle to distinguish this from a single malt costing 3-4 times as much, so unless you're a whisky snob you have to keep a bottle of this in the larder. There was always a bottle in my parents' larder when I was a kid, and now I understand why - it's probably the best Scotch blend you can buy, as well as being incredible value for money. I think Teachers suffers from an image problem - it just doesn't have to look of an expensive Scotch. That's fine by me if it keeps the price low!
I have my go to blends that I enjoy but after reading up on Teacher's I decided to grab a bottle after dismissing it many years ago. I was blown away by it, easily pushing many decent single malts to the back of my shopping list. I can't quite believe how good Teacher's is.
Really excellent taste for what it is. Especially for the price tag it has. I by one of these every few months. Tastes great and goes down very smoothly neat. Fantastic value for money.
