A very famous blended whisky, a rather good blend too. Jim Murray awarded Teacher's Highland Cream 90 points in his Whisky Bible.
Fruity, malty aromas. Just a hint of peat smoke with a good dollop of gooey toffee.
Soft smoke, barley malt and manuka honey. Hints of Malt-driven palate with soft spices.
Malt and smoke on the finish. Classic.

I remember trying some of this at my grandmothers..and thinking yuk! I was bout eleven...but tried it recently and it has become a lot more like single malt..im a huge fan of are more and you can clearly taste that malt in teachers whisky..very fine everyday whisky...
I read the good reviews and took the bait. $14-$15 for a 750 ml bottle. Cannot drink this stuff! Strong but not pleasing. I have a similar aversion to JW Red. There are many better ones in the slightly more expensive $19-$35 range.
The new bottling is an enervated imitation of the Teachers produced before the distillery was sold. If you come across older bottles (large paper label), stock up, but I find the most recent incarnation is very disappointing - and I`ve been a fan for decades.
Been searching for an everyday scotch blend. No arguments here that single malts/single malt blends are better, but I...drink it a lot. I'm not spending a few hundred dollars a month on my go-to drink. I can't stomach beer as I did in my youth. A few rocks, a splash of San Pelligrino now and then - heaven. The Famous Grouse was good but lacks finish and is a bit hotter. JW, Dewars, Chivas, all a bit too harsh for me. Teacher's HC is full bodied, a bit of smoke from front to back, and nicely balanced. Just wish I could fine 1.75 ml bottles in my area.
For the price can't be beat!
