Well-sherried single malt from the Tamdhu distillery, aged for a decade in sherry oak casks. As if that wasn't quite wonderful enough, this has been presented in a delightfully retro-styled bottle. Expect a litany of "Ooooh" and "Ahhhh" noises when you whack this on the table after a good meal.
Dried orange peel, red wine, pecan and raspberry jam.
Soft red fruit followed by brown sugar and spicy clove. A touch of chocolate-covered Brazil nut.
Crystallised ginger, cacao and juicy blackcurrant.
This might have replaced Glenfarclas as a new favorite sherried whisky for me this is fantastic stuff.Nose is a little fumey and yet it is so incredibly smooth for only being 10 years old.And the flavor is pretty much my ideal whisky of this style lots of dark fruit like plums and raisins with some sweet oak, cinnamon and nutmeg with a nice fruity finish that lasts quite a while this seems older than 10 years.Great stuff not cheap for a 10 year old here but worth the money for sure really glad I got this. The Sugarbear
I love my sherry bomb's and was expecting a tad more than i got from this. no doubt its a palatable dram, and maybe i'm looking for a replacement to the glendronach 15 too hard, but this didnt particularly excite me any more than many other sherried whiskys ive tried, still, it wont go to waste !!!
Wonderful, wonderful whisky. This is MY whisky. Love it
I couldn't be happier with this bottle. Smooth, sweet(in a dark fruit sense, not your bright fruitiness of most Speysides), cereal, toasty, maybe hints of cardamom. For the price, it's hard to beat if you're looking for great sherried Speyside experience
A bit too serried for my liking.
