    Talisker Storm

Talisker Storm was released in early 2013 as a no age statement whisky, which was matured in specifically selected refill and toasted American oak casks. An intense and vibrant dram, the Storm offers up plenty of distillery character alongside some smokier depth and complexity.

With a classic Talisker profile, a depth of beautiful flavours and a very reasonable price point, this is an ideal single malt for those thinking of exploring malts from the Scottish islands.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Initial brine, but not as abrupt as the 10 Year Old, quite creamy by comparison. Banana. Banana angel delight? Window putty, hint of sticking plasters and barbecues, citrus. White pepper develops towards the bottom of the glass.

    Palate

Thick and mouth-coating with wood smoke, brine, some tin and chilli heat too.

    Finish

Red chilli peppers and oak dryness with a hint of embers.

    Overall

A welcome addition to the Talisker range, and probably the smokiest whisky to be produced on the Isle of Skye.

more flavorful than most single malts.

This is an a tasty dream

Like a sweet bowemore, but less comples.

This nas single malt had the same experience as the 12 yr bowemore. Add a tad of sweetness and take a bit of the bite of the bowemore and you'll end with the storm. Sweet smoke but too uoung snd definitly too expensive.

Very good... a little more flavorful than most single malts.

    Awesome !!!

    Stick with the 10

Am a big fan of the 10 yo and even the distillers editions but found this very disappointing, to the point where most of it is still in the bottle and has been relegated to the back of the cupboard. I did give it a fair go and tried it on 3 seperate occasions with the same outcome. I don't care that it's a NAS but this is very harsh with an extremely rough finish. Even worse is that's is the same price as the 10. Disappointed.

    Excellent

This is an a tasty dram. Less briny than the 10 year old with a slightly thicker mouthfeel. With a smokey and satchely nose, it is buttery and sweet on the palate with plenty of smoldering smoke and wood in a longish finish. Often on special for less than $80 in Australia this whisky is proof that NAS can be just as good if not better than some of the junior age statements. The 18 year old is in another realm of course, but you would expect that.
