This right here is a 25 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the Talisker distillery. Housing a single malt Scotch whisky that was predominantly matured in American oak hogsheads with some European oak refill. Truly spectacular stuff from the beautiful island of Skye.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Banana fritters, sea spray, old oak furniture, cider apples, a whiff of Frazzles, all held together with crumbly fudge notes.

Palate

Floral heather - perhaps a hint of rose too. Develops heavier notes of salted caramel, chilli chocolate, smoky barley and nectarines.

Finish

Smoke becomes sweet on the finish, with an undercurrent of cedar.

A Superb Single Malt From An Excellent Distillery

A superb single malt from an excellent distillery. Having enjoyed the 10 year old and Storm over the years I thought it was high time to invest in a bottle of the 25 year old during a recent visit to Talisker and I was not disappointed. Complex nose, smooth on the palate with a delightful finish. Opened the bottle whilst we were still on Skye and not surprisingly there wasn't much left after our one week stay. A delightful single malt and well worth the price.

I like every Talisker I’ve ever tasted, but the 25 year old has a special place in my heart. It’s a truly stunning malt. To be enjoyed slowly, ideally with a lover.
