Talisker 25 Year Old (Special Release 2011)
A historic edition from Diageo's annual Special Releases, this 25-year-old Talisker was bottled in 2011. A nice find for a rare whisky collection.
This bottle was part of a private collection and may show signs of wear if of a certain vintage - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Soft for Talisker with clear whiffs of black pepper, seaweed and caramel. Also hints of iodine and woodsmoke.
Palate
This is medium-bodied and smooth with a subtle smoky base; the balance is perfect with hints of sweet caramel and the typical briny salinity that characterises the distillery.
Finish
Long, pleasing and very earthy with hints of ginger and chocolate.
Overall
A tasty Talisker that displays the distillery's unique character to great effect.
