A Distillers Edition bottling of single malt from the Talisker distillery on the rugged Isle of Skye. This was distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2016 after a finishing period in Amoroso casks, then bottled at 45.8% ABV.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Dark chocolate, dried fruit dusted with clove and black pepper, sea spray.
Apricot, raisin and a hint of blackberry too. Soon enough, wafts of classic Talisker smoke come along.
Long and robust with more smoke and sweet, fruity Sherry.

Absolutely love this bottle. Especially on cold winter nights. All of my senses are heightened and very satisfied with this dram. Smells delicious with chocolate, peppercorn & Seafoam. Tastes great with dried fruits like pineapple, mango & prunes. Really nice long, strong finish with lots of smokiness & sweet Sherry from the Amoroso Cask finish. A second pour is a must.
One of my absolute favourite malt whiskies. So enjoyable and drinkable!
I bought this bottle couple weeks ago and had couple glass already. It is my first Talisker. I was going to buy the 10yo but it seems that 2018 bottles are totaly not worth it... So I bought the DE. I am very happy with it, it has a very nice fruity sweetness on the tongue and then evolved to a salty and spicy peat that stays for minutes. For my taste, it is not as good as the Lagavulin DE, but remain a bottle I am very happy to have in my collection.
I absolutely love this version of Talisker, personally my favourite ever - try together with smoked mussels on a small oatcake with a little dill and mustard sauce. A cracking amuse bouche, they go together so well!!
Absolutely beautiful...... brought to my collection at Christmas 2017. Fruity tastes on the pallet to begin with then relaxes in your mouth before hints of smoke escape slowly. Value for money for a distillery edition
