Talisker 10 year old single malt is a classic Island whisky from the Isle of Skye. Aged for a minimum of 10 years in American oak casks, this welcome member of Diageo's Classic Malts series has been recognised numerous times for its excellence. Immensely satisfying stuff, with whiffs of warm peat blending with coastal air, balanced by orchard fruit and juicy barley. A spectacular after dinner dram.

A fresh and fragrant nose. Through thick, pungent smoke comes sweet pear and apple peels, with pinches of maritime salt from kippers, seaweed.
It's a bonfire of peat crackling with black pepper, with a touch of brine and dry barley. A welcome delivery of orchard fruit provides a delicate and beautiful balance.
In a long finish, bonfire embers toast malt and crystallise a sugary underlay.
I had this half an hour ago and I can still comfortably taste it- in a good way. It is fantastic stuff, easier to drink than other 10 year olds and a real surprise with the enjoyablitlity of the smokey taste. Wow this is a good one. Top two Scotchs I have tasted.
My first heavily peated malt. Although it seemed a bit rough at 1st i eventually had to acknowledge that this is well made whisky. Like switching from an Amstel Light to a Duvel, for all you beer drinkers. Powerful yet balanced. Nice peppery finish.

There's no such thing as a bad whisky, some are just better than others and this one is simply the best.
It's good, I like it, more of a slow sipper. I do like the fruity sweet easy drinking Scotches of Speyside but if you want thick flavor and powerful notes this one is balanced and not as strong as Laphroaig. A good buy. If you dont like fine....but dont bash on Talisker
