If it my choice, I would have bottled this Strathmill at cask strength (59.1% ABV) in September 2017, giving it 20 years to mature since distillation occurred on 30 June 1997. Fortunately, it would seem that was also Mackillop's Choice, and they actually did do all of that, releasing an outturn of 520 bottles of this delight.
Peach cobbler, dried apple and biscuits are first, straw, dried oak, seedless raisins and honey'd cereal follow.
Coconut, pistachio ice cream, mint leaf and flaky pastry make for fascinating palate that also boasts a hint of morello cherries.
Medium length and a little malty, there's some foam bananas and chilli-chocolate.
