Strathisla 12 Year Old is a fruity and sherry-rich single malt from one of the oldest Scottish distilleries in operation (and a very handsome one at that - the pair of pagodas atop Strathmill make for a very striking image on the horizon). A perfect single malt for people new to the wonders of whisky,as its easy to sip and enjoy the sweet toffee flavour.
Soft oak and hints of candied peel. A little floral character too, with notes of spice and Danish pastries.
Malty core with notes of sultanas and cinnamon pastries. Allspice, cooked apple and mince pies.
Long finish. Very fruity.
A good all-rounder - excellent value for money...

Subtle and soft on the pallet. Im no whisky expert but it is my drink of choice and from now on this will be my whisky of choice. Excellent value for money also premium feel in a affordable price range. Thank you
It's whisky. Other than that it has no stand out character for me and pulls no punches. Ok to have in the cabinet, but I'll be reaching for something a bit feistier most of the time.
Taste is a little overly delicate and light at first, but it certainly develops over time. A very long finish and certainly tasty dram, although there is some residual bitterness.
I also do not like strong smokey scotch. This was very flavorful and smooth. Best 12 year single on the market in my opinion.
Beautiful nose, and love the fruity aroma with hint of apples. I don't like peaty, smoky whisky's, so this is perfect for me, I live in Aviemore at the start of the Whisky's trail and have samples many Speyside and Highland whisky's and this is my favourite so far, it's gets 5 stars!
