Strathclyde 30 Year Old 1990 (cask 64110096) - Rare Auld (Duncan Taylor)

30 year old single grain here, distilled by Strathclyde in August 1990 and set aside to mature for three decades. Following that, it was bottled up by Duncan Taylor for the Rare Auld series in April 2021, with an outturn of 248 bottles. We do love well-aged grains...

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Warm oak and a hint of funky hay, mellowed by waves of vanilla and cooked orchard fruit.

    Palate

Maple syrup, flapjacks, a growing spiciness of cinnamon and nutmeg, very subtly grassy again.

    Finish

Treacle tarts, stewed summer berries, brown sugar.
