Single Malt
The English Distillery

This seven year old single malt, single cask whisky from The English Distillery was drawn from casks chosen by the Rolls Royce & Bentley Enthusiasts Club. The whisky matured for a generous seven years between 2014 and 2021, with a brief finish in sherry casks, before being bottled up at a robust 57%, with an outturn of only 270 bottles. More affordable than a Rolls Royce, and certainly tastier, this fruity dram will do well with a few drops of water added.
Plenty of sherry character on the nose, with dried raisins and apricots alongside cocoa nibs.
Robust, with hints of oily lemon peel, sticky malt loaf, lashings of sherry sweetness, and spiced fruitcake.
The fruit cake lingers, with gentle spices building.

I got myself a dram of this thinking hey, let’s see what the English have to say about it I’m genuinly blown away. I’m not going to pretend I can define what I’m smelling or tasting to an extent I feel confident to put on here. I’ve added a bit of water and a single cube of ice and I’m very happy. Genuinely I really am enjoying this right now. First English whiskey. Won’t be the last
