We're very excited to present one of four English single malt whiskies from the English Whisky Company which we have bottled as part of our Single Cask Series! This one is a 7 year old distilled in August 2008, matured in bourbon cask B1/490 and bottled in February 2016.
Nose: Fresh raspberries and blackberry jam, with a little bit of Seville orange marmalade too. Tinned peaches still in the syrup. A subtle vegetal hint of grassy fields. Toasted tea cakes with melted butter.
Palate: Bourbon-y vanilla sweetness, orange sherbet, black pepper, Refreshers (the sweeties). White chocolate creaminess develops, with a little hint of the juicy berries from the nose.
Finish: Brown sugar, vanilla pod and dark chocolate bitterness lasts.
Overall: Buttery, bourbon-y brilliance here from the English Whisky Company!
