Here's the fifth batch of single malt Scotch whisky from Campbeltown's esteemed Springbank distillery, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. After this whisky spent 25 years maturing, those Boutique-y chaps bottled it up at 53.3% ABV, producing 146 bottles. Neil and Joel off of that there World's Best Spirits are hard at work getting the Rube Goldberg machine-esque Porteus Mill in gear on the label, and they won't be allowed to stop for a second until there isn't a husk in sight.
Batch 5 is a release of 146 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Blackberry sorbet and sloe berries. Smoked meats and charcoal, followed by a touch of pine resin.
Another helping of juicy red berry sweetness, along with sugary digestive biscuits. Dark chocolate, dry earth and oatcakes.
Oily hop spiciness of clove, a touch of ash and fresh strawberries.
