Given this as Xmas pressie, love it, love it! My go to dram has been Talisker for the past 30 years, might give this another try, now and again. I like the smokiness, floral spice and hint of seaside.
Nose: Sweet beautiful peat. Somewhat nutty. Palate: So many layers. Its creamy and that leads to fresh wood into gentle sweet peat before the pepper on the oak closes out. Wow. Wow. Wow. After: You so want this to continue to evolve but it doesn't. There is enough but in truth it's the palate that's holding the end up.

One of my top 5 scotches ever, primarily to it's incredible balance of sweetness with smokiness. You won't be disappointed.
Unbelievable whisky from the folks at Springbank. A little bit dusty, and really sweet on the nose with a little peat - but it's not big and medicinal like most Islay's, it's just sitting nicely in amongst everything else going on. Longrow is salty and oily on the palate, with a hit of spice and a little bit of bitter lemon. The finish is long, liquoricey and smoky. The smoke really comes to the fore on the finish. An absolute belter of a whisky. Buy 2 bottles whilst you can!
