Green Spot is a fabulous single pot still whiskey and much loved by the critics. This Irish whiskey has come far from the days when it was only sold in Mitchell's grocer shop in the heart of Dublin, though its flavour profile is still just as robust. The whiskey has matured in a combination of first and second fill bourbon casks as well as sherry casks.
Hints of peppermint, malt, sweet barley, sugary porridge, creamy vanilla, papaya and citrus.
Spicy and soft, gentle bourbon oak, green woods, menthol, potpourri.
Creamy, long finish, vanilla.

What you say above is true. It's soft and elegant. Nothing harsh here whatsoever. It lies sweetly on the tongue. I'm in love.
Came to this site to just glance at the reviews (as i do when remembering great whisky). Planning on sitting by the fire with friends and relaxing. Always clean and never watered down feel. Even if you have 2 cubes. I just use 1 for this peach of in the moment enjoyment. Little sweet and never harsh. Perfect for all around "me" time. For about 50 at max its great in every way.
Just a correction: according to the distiller's web site. Green Spot is not single pot, but composed of several pot still whiskies, aged 7 to 10 years in bourbon casks finished in sherry casks.
Tried this at Rira Pub in Atlantic City. Very smooth. Hoping to get some back home =)
One of my favorites, clean taste, mildly sweet. Best neat
