    Green Spot Single Pot Still

Green Spot is a fabulous single pot still whiskey and much loved by the critics. This Irish whiskey has come far from the days when it was only sold in Mitchell's grocer shop in the heart of Dublin, though its flavour profile is still just as robust. The whiskey has matured in a combination of first and second fill bourbon casks as well as sherry casks.

    Disappointing

Bought this after so many good reviews. However, this is disappointing. Slightly better with ice but just could not finish my glass.

Try it! (I Like the creamy vanilla finish)

Delicious! A Christmas 'must have'! Loved by Husband & I since we first tried a few years back.?

    Easy drinking

an unmistakeable irish pot still whiskey, and a great session dram. it's hard to criticise a drink as smooth, tasty and easy drinking as this, however i have to concure a wee bit with the 'Very pleasant' review below as it is very much on the 'safe' side and wont offend or overpower any casual whisk(e)y drinkers in the way say a heavily peated islay might get a strong reaction. Having said that, im glad i have this to dip into now and again, but would say that the redbreast 12 is a better irish in the same price range.

    Meets expectations

Nose, slight floral and caramel not much is detectable Taste - A well rounded sweetness on the tip of the tongue that fades into wood With water - Really opens up and smooths out, maple syrup, vanilla, creme brûlée with a wood after taste. Reminds me slightly of Armagnac. Best Irish Whiskey I’ve ever had

Life is too short for any other whiskey.

I had a glass of this at at Gerty Brown's in Athlone a couple of nights ago. I'm not normally a whisky drinker but this was fabulous, the nicest whisky I have ever tasted. I went back last night and had the last slug of the bottle. I think I'm going to keep a bottle of this in the house for special guests.
