Green Spot is a fabulous single pot still whiskey and much loved by the critics. This Irish whiskey has come far from the days when it was only sold in Mitchell's grocer shop in the heart of Dublin, though its flavour profile is still just as robust. The whiskey has matured in a combination of first and second fill bourbon casks as well as sherry casks.
Hints of peppermint, malt, sweet barley, sugary porridge, creamy vanilla, papaya and citrus.
Spicy and soft, gentle bourbon oak, green woods, menthol, potpourri.
Creamy, long finish, vanilla.

This is, hands down, my favourite whisky so far (although I have many left to try "God willing"!
Wow. Smoother than a young Tina Turners skin.... Tastier than.... well, tastier than both Redbreast and Black Bush. Easily the best Irish whiskey around. Gives a couple of the Japanese whiskeys and the Dalmore a run for their money in my favourite whiskey ever. This quite possibly takes the winners podium as its a good £10 cheaper than any of my other favourites. Jason Breen.
My wife travels internationally fairly regularly and brings home liquor from all over the world, Russian Vodka, Dominican Rum, etc. but my favorite has been the Green Spot Whiskey. It's fantastic, even compared with Whiskeys from across the globe. As I write this I'm re-ordering another bottle, I definitely recommend giving it a try.
I've tasted many types over the years and have enjoyed most that I've tried. It's hard to get Green Spot here in the USA but having heard so many good things about it, I had to try it. So, I ordered some from across the pond. Smooth as silk, Light on the palate. Sweet without being overwhelming. It went down way to easy and sadly, it's all gone. I'm getting an order together with all my friends and am looking forward to many nights by the fire with my wife and my whiskey!
Fantastically smooth whiskey. It lasted only a couple of weeks, as my wife and I coild not hold ourselves back .
