Another Swedish single malt whisky from Spirit of Hven's Seven Stars series. This is the second half of the sixth release in the series, named after the star Alcor, which kind of combines with the star Mizar to make one point in the Big Dipper constellation. A portion of the whisky was aged in casks that previously held Chateau Margaux wine, just like with Mizar, but has been complemented by whisky aged in casks that previously held Oloroso sherry, Maculan Torcolato wine and even Spirit of Hven Vodka!
Fruity coffee, tobacco smoke and orange rind.
Chocolatey at first, before earthy peat develops. Balanced by sweeter hints of liquorice and barley.
Quite long, with red fruit appearing later on.
