The SPEY Tenné is a single malt from the Speyside Distillery, owned by Harvey's of Edinburgh. It is initially aged in bourbon casks before enjoying a 6 month finishing period in Tawny Port casks, giving a subtle ruby hue and vibrant, fruit-filled flavour profile.

Can only assume the person who reviewed this 4 july 2020 had covid and had lost their sense of taste. If you nose this blindfolded you would identify it as a delicate vintage port. It's definitely whisky when you drink it and there's something akin to the flavour of those old xmas chocolate liqueur cherries about it, but none of it is an assault on your senses. Lick your lips with this one, flavour lingers longest there! Just a very pleasant drink for a very reasonable price.
I tried this whisky years ago at Soho Whisky Club in London and it always left an impression on me. A nice juicy bit of port richness with an flavouring of strawberry liquorice. I think at this price it’s a good bargain.
Can't believe the people that don't like this, mind you some are only happy being hit over the head with a clod of peat. This is good, this is very very good!
I simply cannot understand at any level the review which states this dram ‘lacks depth’. If anything there’s too much depth! An extremely in your face port based dram. Never took to it at first but after revisiting its shelf position I now love it. Bought another today. Outstanding value.
