The Speyside Distillery launched a revamped SPEY core range in early 2025 and one of the highlights is the beautiful SPEY 15 Year Old. A ripe and rich single malt Scotch whisky, it was aged initially in bourbon casks and then finished in sherry casks.
The sweet fragrance of pear intertwines with a honeyed aroma, accompanied by floral notes of lavender and dried heather. After a while, hints of Crème brûlée, stewed plum, and wood smoke emerge.
Almond and hazelnut, complemented by ripe bramble jam and sugary custard.
A lingering oily sensation remains on the tongue, warm and persistent.
