dont know whats happening with blends like teachers bells and grouse but this is now cheaper than these here in yorkshire for 70cl ,i find it a nice mellow whisky and unbeatable at the price
Had only the one glass while in Scotland last month. Thought it was pretty good. Though perhaps, as the publican said to me, "What can you expect from a man who doesn't like Talisker?"
I mix or blend with macgavan islay
Cheaper malts aren't as good as a £50 bottle? Thank again. Lovely nose that permeates slowly to give a sweet start. Undertones of apricot and peach with a fresh finish. If you missed out on this keep it on your watch list. An absolute bargain.
Light bodied, subtle, slightly fruity with a hint of peat. At first sip I was unimpressed, but by the end of the dram I was quite happy with the palette of flavors. At about half the price of the Speyside 12, I am going back to the store to purchase the remaining 3 bottles.
