A 15 year old single malt from the Speyburn distillery, introduced to their range in the latter half of 2017. Maturing in a combination of American and Spanish oak casks for 15 years, this Speysider is particularly creamy and vibrant.
Marmalade, sawdust, cacao nibs and stroopwafel dipped in coffee.
Honey'd barley and Tunnock's Caramel Wafers. A flash of flamed orange peel, shortly joined by lemon meringue.
Brown sugar, honeycomb and dried banana chips.

Wild decision to reduce the abv of the 15 & 18 to 40% abv and keep the same price. Chill filtration must now also be in use. Such a shame as this a great distillate that is now being neutered. In the current market I can't see this being anything other than a big fumble. Plenty of other options out there...
Nice, sweet and smooth
It’s very good, but don’t add much water. For less money, I prefer the Glenfarclas 12. And it cannot compete with, say, Tamdhu 15, but that’s why it’s $40.00 less expensive.
If you could spread this on hot buttered toast, you’d be very happy.
Tasted of raisins and wood with a nice heavy mouthfeel. Not bad at all.
