Master of Malt's #WhiskySanta has returned to give away free orders, £100 vouchers, tens of thousands of pressies inside packages, and to grant Christmas wishes too!
bought for 22EUR in supermarket in lithuania. bergain. Was only single malt there. So, why not, gave a shot...
its too rough...solid product, just need lot more ageing. For a cocktails fits maybe, but for a true experience, get with extra tenner something else...

It's not 'Whiskey'...
I'm a Scot. From Scotland. And people who write such things as: "Missing the peatiness I expect in a good single malt. Good beginner whiskey for the price," do not know the first thing about single malts, 'beginners', or whisky. (Note to Americans: Scottish malts are not 'whiskEy' in the singular - they are 'whisky'.) Furthermore, for all you WHISKEY snobs out there, this is a perfectly good single malt WHISKY for the price. In fact, as others have pointed out, it is an _exceptional_ malt for the price! I prefer the A'bunadh, and have several cases of the stuff. After that, I would go with the Balvenie Single Barrel (that's the name, not a descriptor), and then with the Glenfarclas 105, for when I want to launch myself to Mars. But if I were low on cash and away from a decent store where I could buy the above, I would settle for the Speyburn any time. Slainte.

Best cheap dram on the market
Was gifted this a few holidays back by my in laws who typically buy me a bottle of scotch when I arrive. The usual roster includes laphraoig, lagavulin and the like. So At the time I thought it was a pretty horrible turn especially when I recalled seeing this in the $25 rack at the liquor store. Was pleasantly surprised and it is now a go to scotch when I don't feel like blowing $60-70 for one of my Faves.

A bit rough
It's very fruity, but its a bit harsh with a good, long burn. I think it needs a bit more aging, still a little rough around the edges.
However, it makes a damn good cocktail. My favorite is making the Penicillin with extra ginger.

Glenlevit 12 > This but the price sets it apart
I can get this for $20/bottle 750ml at Woodmans. That's cheaper then most places sell Jack which tastes ok but not great and is is headache juice since they cheaped out and started doing 3.5yrs instead of 4. This is the best value in Whiskey period. Glenlevit 12 is my favorite hands down and glenfiddich tastes like turpentine. But for the money... you can get a 1.75 of this for the price of a 750ml of that! This is my night cap, never a hangover, never feeling like crap the next day. The price and quality combo makes this my drink of choice.
