A rather elegant bottle of SPEY single malt from the Speyside Distillery. This Peated expression has been aged for 12 years before it was bottled at 46% ABV, with only 3,000 limited bottles released. A great balance of smoky and sweet in this one.
Gentle whispers of smoke, with creamy vanilla, fresh grapes and wood spice.
The spice really develops on the palate, with green apple skin, roasted (if slightly burnt) nuts and earthy vanilla pod.
A touch of ripe banana sweetness alongside dried fruit and a dry, smoky finish.
