An ongoing release from Speciality Drinks' Elements of Islay range, previously only brought out in limited, numbered batches. 'Peat' also isn't a psuedo-elemental symbol like 'Lg' or 'Bw', but this blended malt is a peaty treat nonetheless.
Citrus, smoky barley, sea air and a touch of bacon.
Fruity barbecue notes, kiwi, a little hot with more smoke building.
Smoky cinnamon apples and a touch of brine.

Is it my taste buds, or have they put the wrong drink in the bottle? opening, there was not hint of smoke. Poured a dram and left for 15 mins, still nothing. On tasting, no barbecue notes and no smoke, adding water made no difference. All I got was Barley Sugar, and that was all. Will use to bolster lower gravity Whisky, once gone I will not re-order. If you like Caol Illa cask strength ( which costs about £70 for a 70CL bottle) then this is very similar at an equivalent £49 (70 Cl ) only in a 50 cl bottle I would rather buy this than the former in a posy wooden box No box or container No Problem
My new Breakfast Scotch ;)
a must have bottle !
