A particularly impressive 8 year old Irish single grain whiskey here, released by Simply Whisky and bestowed the title Good Times - inspired by the experiences of discovering excellent whiskies of all varieties. Built using a combination of first-fill and refill American oak ex-bourbon casks, this expression is marvellously approachable. Immensely creamy, packing gorgeous notes of fresh vanilla, apricot and citrus.
Juicy apricot, vanilla sponge with jam and cream, a soft warming hint of sandalwood.
Raisins, orange peel, nutmeg and cinnamon building in the background.
Fruit Salad sweeties, honeycomb and just a touch of anise.
Just tasted this as a part of a Wild Card Brewery tasting pack and it was pure gold. Take my money!!!
Just enjoying my first bottle and what a joy it is, so many tastes burst in your mouth and so very east to take a"Wee Dram" of. If there is a downside it is the fact that my wife loves it as well! Thanks Franchie', we will be back for more
