A splendid juxtaposition of sweet peat smoke and sherry collide in Seaweed & Aeons & Digging & Fire & Sherry Casks & Cask Strength 10 Year Old from the ampersand adoring gang at &Whisky! Matured for a decade, this batch of the smoky Islay single malt was fully finished in sherry casks, bringing decadent layers of dried fruit and cakey spice to join coastal waves of powerful peat and salted peanuts at its core. Bottled at natural cask strength, you get bonus ampersands, bonus sherry, and bonus strength here. This whisky really does have it all and more.
Herbaceous peat and dense aged fruit cake lead the charge, joined by notes of dark salted chocolate, mocha, and pebbly minerality.
Hearty helpings of Medjool dates and plump raisins, powerful peat, and salty sea breeze. Mature oak brings notes of linseed, with cinnamon warmth, while smoky salted peanuts nestle beneath.

I really struggled to find many reviews (videos or written) but decided to give it a whirl anyway, and I'm sooo glad I did! This is absolutely delicious. There's a sweet element in here that is just singing to me, even though I've not had a glass for a few days and with that BBQ peat smoke on top, just mmmmm. Seriously if you like Uigeadail, then give this a go. I don't suppose it's as huge a slap in the face as Oogy, similar flavours, I'd say just a bit more refined. I seriously hope this doesn't get discontinued ever! And I look forward to future batches. For now I'll be enjoying MOM's best kept not so secret! (I'm sure if this had a distillery on the label it would fly out! More for those who know I guess!)

Massive coffee and cigar box on the nose - the MoM tram have got it just right. I also get loads of Sherry soaked raisins and dark chocolate. The palate is very grown-up - intricate spice and complex layers of leather and camphor. Finish that lasts minutes. This is a big, bold, uncompromising smack in the face to the established brands. Bravo.
