This right here is a 10-year-old single malt from an undisclosed distillery on Islay, with 25% of it having been finished in first-fill oloroso sherry casks, and bestowed the decidedly descriptive name Seaweed & Aeons & Digging & Fire. If those four words (and three ampersands) aren't quite enough of an explanation of what this expression is all about, here are a few more: stripped-back, smoky, complex, a bit sherried, balanced, coastal. Yeah, that should do it. Great for people who love uncompromising Islay whisky and sans-serif fonts.
Rich, powerful sherry with a well-integrated core of peat. Solid.
Well-balanced but extremely forceful on delivery. The sherry makes itself known in a really good way.
Red apple sweetness gives way to oaken-vanilla goodness and fades elegantly into the embers of a chargrilled well-aged steak.
A thoroughly impressive dram. One would be forgiven for mistaking it for an OB with another 5 years of age on it.

If you're a fan of Islay whisky, then you'll be hard pressed to find a better one at this price point. Great value for a deliciously smooth, peated whisky. The only problem was that it went down to quickly... I need to order another bottle or two...
Gentler than l expected. Unmistakably lslay, with a soft tangy briny mouthfeel. This is a delicious dram for a 10 yr old. Love it!
chewy peaty salty briny monster. Old fashioned rustic rough as a bears bottom islay malt, sherry and olorosso sweetness meets a rich cigar ashtray, charry scorched oak cask sitting in a west coast rock pool. Splendid
What’s in a name… well with this I have no idea. I don’t get it. It’s tasty and well priced. What’s the catch here? Yes ok taste is always subjective and something “cheap” can taste “expensive”…. As a fan of west coastal whisky I was referred to this and told “you must try if it’s the last thing you ever do”. The last thing I ever do I always considered would be a bit more adventurous with a side splash of playboy mansion but in for a penny in for a pound. Purchased… Tested it Marvellous. In my humble opinion it’s a cross between a Laphroaig / Talisker / Bowmore / Juru Yes I know Talisker / Juru aren’t Islay but I am passing opinion on taste and smell. If I was given a shot of this I would have probably said it’s from Laphroaig and then when told no I would say it’s from one of the others. But where is it from - no idea. Would I buy again - absolutely.
What it says in the label. Absolutely knockout at the price … on my 3rd bottle.
